Centers set up by the federal government in 1998 to help job seekers become more self-sufficient by connecting them to training and jobs. WorkLink is the umbrella organization for the three centers located in the SC Employment security offices in the Pendleton District--Anderson, Oconee and Pickens.

Services
Services at the One-Stops There are three levels of service made available through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA): Core, Intensive and Training. The main goal of the WorkLinkWIA One -Stop System is to help individuals find suitable employment that allows them to become self- sufficient.
Level 1: Core Services : the first level of services is available to everyone. Customers are encouraged to help themselves, but staff is available to assist and answer questions.

Training may be available to people who are still seeking employment after participating in both core and intensive services.
Follow-up Services
Follow-up services, including counseling regarding the workplace, is required for all WIA Intensive and Training participants who are placed in unsubsidized employment. Follow-up services are for not less than 12 months after it is determined the individual no longer needs any WIA services.
